Afghanistan Today, a GWOT Hotspot (the Afghanistan Scandal) 12/16/14 Tue. (16 days to go)

16 days to go for US troops in Afghanistan, and the loss of humanity in the world is evident today with an attack by the Taliban on Muslim school children in Pakistan, with reports of over 145 deaths so far, and more wounded. It’s so “yesterday’s news” the Muslim hostage taker in Australia, and the terror there, with this latest attack. In the meantime, Australia is sending back refugees of a religious minority to Afghanistan where it has been determined it is safe. Links from around the GWOT:

Afghanistan Today, the GWOT Hotspot (the Afghanistan Scandal?) 5-28-14-Wed. (217 days to go)

President Obama gives another college speech, this time at the US Military Academy at West Point today, and reports are that he will extend the Afghanistan War two more years. It is my hope he stands by the initial exit date he gave years ago, of 31 December 2014.

Meanwhile, Bati Kot, Afghanistan has not been pacified, and remains a terrorist haven near the Torkm Gate on the Pakistan border. Why? MARSOC Marines were there and thrown out in error after an ‘Incident at Bati Kot’ when they were attacked 4 March 2007. All Marines were exonerated at a 2008 Marine Court of Inquiry. Yet, Bati Kot remains a terrorist haven, and those US Army officers who threw out the first ever deployed Special Operations Marines have yet to be held accountable, or demoted for Bati Kot remaining in terrorist hands.

1.) Bati Kot, Afghanistan, still a dangerous terrorist infested village it seems from the evidence presented in this story:

2.) Another ‘incident at Bati Kot’: This time a 13 yr old suicide Pakistani suicide bomber is stopped in Bati Kot, Afghanistan:

289 days to go for US troops in Afghanistan, as they spend their last Saint Patrick’s Day there today.

As US troops complete retrograde operations in Afghanistan, closing bases and packing equipment before the date to evacuate on 31 December 2014, another option becomes available for unnecessary equipment: that is for Pakistan too take some of it. See the story at link #1 for details.

1.) Pakistan may be an option for American equipment as the US leaves Afghanistan by 31 December 2014. Read the story at link below for details:

As Americans enjoy another weekend of baseball playoffs, college and pro football, and fall festivals, the US troops in Afghanistan continue their retrograde operation in Afghanistan. Pray for their safety as this is still a deadly country to be in. Two weeks ago a US Army nurse, 1st Lt. Jennifer Moreno, promoted posthumously to Captain was killed in a mission that saw three other Americans killed and 30 US Army Rangers injured.

I have run across several articles I want to link, but since I have been trying to limit the links to 10 a day, or 11 yesterday due to a late addition at #11, I haven’t posted them. Today I will try and catch up with some interesting stories from the last few days. Please remember our troops in Afghanistan and the troops being sent there by soon to be President Obama for the troop surge. Pray for a swift victory so we can bring them home and let the State Department handle the aftermath: Hillary Clinton should be up to the job by then. Links:
