Another month of retrograde operations in Afghanistan comes to a close, but for or troops there it is just another day of packing and closing down bases. God bless American troops and pray for them as they pack up to leave by 31 December 2014.

God bless America’s troops still in the combat zone in a retrograde operation, packing up bases and equipment in Afghanistan. Today is Gold Star Mother’s Day, pray for all our Gold Star families.

America’s retrograde operation in Afghanistan is in full force. Read the story at link #1 as US troops continue to pack up to leave Afghanistan by 31 Dec. 2014. God bless them, and I hope and pray no more are injured or killed in combat as they pack up to leave. Links from around the GWOT:

The work week ends for most Americans, but in Afghanistan U.S. troops continue retrograde operations in an area which is still a combat zone. Pray for America’s enlisted troops as they pack up to leave by 31 December 2014. Links from around the GWOT:

The week rolls on and American troops continue retrograde operations in Afghanistan. If there is no government budget by October 1, 2013 I have read they won’t be paid! I am reading “Afghanistan Venture” by Paul Jones, a 1950’s era book describing America’s involvement in Afghanistan back then, with the company that built the Boulder/Hoover Dam building dams in Afghanistan. The US has long been involved in projects in Afghanistan and before them, in the 1800’s, the British. Links from around the GWOT:

Another mid-week at war for US troops in Afghanistan as they pack up to leave by 31 Dec. 2014. Unfortunately, while in the process of retrograde, another Afghan soldier turned on US troops, killing three Special Ops troops. Pray for out troops as they pack up, I suppose even Special Ops camps are being torn down, and they are still exposed to danger. RIP to these troops. Prayers go out to the families.

As America winds down its military involvement in Afghanistan, the GWOT is morphing and shifting worldwide. The mall attack in Kenya is still in the news today, as well as a Christian church attack in Pakistan. Pray for peace worldwide.
