It’s a leap year at war. Another day for American troops in Afghanistan. Let’s hope and pray they won’t be there for the next Leap Year four years from now. They should come home and we should bring our money with us. God bless our troops. Links from around the GWOT:

Almost another month at war in the books for U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Riots continue today. God bless American troops. Pray for their safety and victory in battle. Links from around the GWOT:

1.) Marine Corps lists new general rotations. Let’s see if the Marine Corps can start a new designation to show combat experience, and that is one of  “field general” and other officers, even NCO’s can have this designation, such as a “field corporal”. Links from around the GWOT:

Sunday at war for U.S. troops in Afghanistan, pray for them as Americans they protect attend the church of their choice today. Pray for American troops at war in Afghanistan. There are continuing riots and two U.S. enlisted men were killed Thursday by an Afghan soldier, and a couple of days later, two American officers were shot to death in an Afghan ministry office, again, reportedly by an Afghan soldier, or a policeman.

Riots continue throughout Afghanistan after Afghan prisoners were caught sending messages through Korans, which endangered U.S. troops. U.S. political and military officials keep giving apologies, although candidate Newt Gingrich explained why none were needed. The messages the prisoners wrote in the Korans endangered U.S. troops. Period, end of story, enough said, our innocent American troops in this hostile land must be protected. Links from around the GWOT:

1.) U.S. general urges American troops not to take revenge or the deaths of their two buddies. May these two troops murdered by an Afghan military or police official rest in peace, and may the Afghan who murdered them be captured and held accountable for his action. Link:

The scandalous behavior of U.S. Marine General John Allen is discussed in this post by Diana West, nationally syndicated columnist. The general apologized for the actions of U.S. troops, without fully explaining to Americans, Afghans, the President of the United States or the President of Afghanistan that the books were being used as a messaging system for Taliban prisoners and put U.S. troops in danger. Read the story at link #1 for details:

1.)  Diana West writes about the latest rounds of apologies by Americans to the Afghans, which do not fully explain what happened, which was that the Taliban prisoners were using the books to pass messages, which put U.S. troops at risk. Link:

While American troops face terrorists in Afghanistan, it seems perhaps the average American citizen must be ever diligent. Average Americans stopped a potential terrorist attack on an airline recently, see the details at link #1. Our federal officials do not call it terrorism though. Average Americans are wondering if it is a “dry run” such as before the 9-11-01 attacks. Why don’t we screen better who we let in our country? Why would a person with the problems this person had, including a police chase, be allowed on a flight like this? I don’t know, read the story and come to your own conclusions. Links from around the GWOT:
