While American troops are in a retrograde operation in Afghanistan, they are still in a war zone. Keep them in your prayers. In the meantime, a Marine Major who tried to warn Marines in Afghanistan of the danger they were in, faces a Board of Inquiry and separation from the Marine Corps. Why? He used an insecure communication line to relay this information. In any case, his warning was not heeded and three Marines were murdered, one injured in an insider attack. Another day in Afghanistan for U.S. troops. Another day to pray for U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Although they are in retrograde operations from here on out, packing up smaller outposts, then outposts a little larger, until they pack it all in by 31 December 2014, it is an area in which they earn combat pay and they are still being killed and injured. American troops need our prayers as they continue the retrograde operation in Afghanistan. The story at link #1 describes how some of the US equipment is being sold for scrap. I still can’t get over how three weeks ago over 20 US Army Rangers were injured, including four soldiers killed, which included Army nurse 1st Lt. Jennifer Moreno. Another fine fall day in America with brats on the grill and football season in full gear. Americans tailgate with beer, brats, and other favorites, while U.S. troops remain in dangerous Afghanistan conducting retrograde operations.
