Remember American troops around the world this weekend, and pray they will not be sent to yet another war, this time in Syria.
Americans still find themselves in the Afghanistan war zone, packing up to leave by 31 Dec. 2014, but in the meantime, another war with Syria is being considered. Pray that there is no war in Syria for American troops. Links form around the GWOT:
1.) While US troops are in retrograde and packing up, the Afghans call for air support, and they got it. I would like to know why US troops under attack, such as in the Ganjgal Ambush on 8 Sept. 2009 were denied air support? Link:
America still has troops in Afghanistan busy in retrograde mode, packing up by 31 Dec. 2014, while war planners in the Obama Administration have another war planned in Syria. God bless American troops and pray for no more wars for our troops. Links from around the GWOT:

It is hard for me to believe what is going on in today’s Marine Corps. Good combat Marines, both officers and enlisted face trials, court of inquiry, investigations, and bad fitness reports for trying to win a war. Those risk adverse are often promoted or get glowing fitness reports. Now they want to put women Marines in the infantry and Recon. I wonder if they will disband the Marine Special Forces (MARSOC) after the Afghanistan War ends on 31 Dec. 2014, like the Raiders were disbanded after WWII? I am losing respect for the Marine Corps at this rate. That’s hard to do, as I am a strong civilian supporter of the Marine Corps. Links from around the GWOT:

The work week begins for most Americans this Monday, but in Afghanistan the packing and retrograde of US bases continues so US troops can return home by 31 Dec. 2014. In the process, two more US soldiers were killed. May they RIP. And, prayers should be sent out for the safety of those American troops still in Afghanistan as they complete this retrograde, which is the shut down of US bases by 31 Dec. 2014. As shown with the death of these two soldiers, it is still a dangerous proposition in Afghanistan. Links from around the GWOT:

A Sunday of freedom in the US where Americans can attend the church of their choice. Remember US troops around the world in your prayers.
Link #1 is a story of true heroism by an enlisted soldier on the ground in Afghanistan in 2009. But, there must be accountability by the officers and higher ups who put these soldiers in such a poor position.
