Another week at war for US troops in Afghanistan, and soon another month in the countdown to end the US presence in Afghanistan on 31 December 2014.  I hope the USA packs faster than anticipated and they can return home much sooner than that, with no detour to Syria.

In the meantime, US writer Diana West has coming out soon a new book, which she discusses in the interview posted at link #1. Links from around the GWOT:

Another Sunday at war for US troops in Afghanistan, say a prayer for their safety as we go about our way, able to freely attend the church of our choose this Sunday.

1.) 4 NATO troops killed in air crash in Afghanistan. The story also notes that the Taliban begin their spring offensive today and will use everything available to secure victory. Link:

2.) A video posted, an official military video, about Marines serving in Sangin, Afghanistan, a hotbed of terror and Taliban fighters. I could not believe what I was watching here as at appx. 1:23 a male Marine Corporal basically states Marines are there to make friends with the locals and not rough up guys as previous Marine units did. I didn’t think it could get worse, when, at appx. 1:40 I saw women Marines in an ‘engagement team’ playing with Afghan kids as they grabbed for their rifle barrel and I couldn’t help but think, would this training even be considered by taking these women Marines into a child care center at Camp Lejeune, for example, with loaded rifles, etc. and letting the kids get close and grab for the weapon? Then, I saw at 1:42 a Marine rifleman prone, and an Afghan kid came up and was next to him. Dangerous for the child and Marine. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t blame these enlisted Marines who were following orders from on high. God bless our enlisted Marines, but who is doing this planning, and why? Also, who approved this official video? With the Taliban using every advantage as stated in story at #1, it seems they could learn valuable intelligence from this video. We don’t want to help the Taliban! Watch it and come to your own conclusions, these are just my random thoughts on the video. Link:

While the GWOT goes on in Afghanistan, there is global terror, even in the USA such as in the Boston attacks. In Benghazi, there was an attack 9/11/12 which is discussed at link #1 at the Right Scoop web site. See the comments by Gold Star Marine Mom Susan Price, whose son was killed in Afghanistan in the Ganjgal ambush on 8 September 2009. This is the ambush where Dakota Meyer earned the Medal of Honor for his courageous actions. Links from around the GWOT:

A workweek ends for Americans, but for American troops in Afghanistan it is just another weekend of danger. God bless American troops.

2.) Trip down memory lane. A listing found online of various attacks in Afghanistan. I was searching for reconstruction projects in Damdara, Afghanistan and this came up, although I never saw a mention of Damdara, but may have missed it, I did see a report of another attack in Bati Kot, Afghanistan. I was just wondering how much US taxpayer money has been spent in Damdara and why? Link:

The GWOT came to America April 15, 2013, and was funded by taxpayers as the now deceased terrorist suspect was living on welfare.

During the last week, the news is full of the battle against radical Islam coming back to US shores once again, this time in Boston last Monday, April 15, 2013. God bless American troops still on the battlefield in Afghanistan and around the world. While thinking and praying for our active duty troops, remember the families of the fallen, and their cries for justice. And say a prayer for our innocent troops and civilians injured and recovering from terrorist attacks. Links from around the GWOT:

Another workweek begins in the USA, and still, American troops remain in Afghanistan. May they return home long before the 31 December 2014 deadline for withdrawal of US troops. Links from around the GWOT:

Another Sunday at war for the U.S. and in Afghanistan our troops heard the news that the U.S., this time, in Boston, became the center of the Global War on Terror. Our country needs prayers, our troops need prayers, and our innocent injured troops, and innocent injured civilians need prayers. This is one of several deadly terrorist attacks inside the USA since 9/11/01 including the shooting at the recruiting office in Arkansas, the shooting at Ft. Hood, Texas, and one of several attempted attacks which have been stopped, such as in Times Square, on the plane landing in Detroit, the shoe bomber, and many others stopped before the attack occurred. Links from around the GWOT:

1.) Seven Camp Lejeune Marines killed in training accident in Nevada have flags lowered in their behalf, after the N.C. governor first said training accident deaths do not rate having the flag lowered. God bless our Marines, even training is dangerous. I don’t think I have ever heard what caused this accident. Pray for their families this Sunday as we remember their sacrifice on our behalf, as they volunteered to protect us. Link:
