The last day of another month at war in Afghanistan for American troops. God bless them.

Links from around the GWOT:

1.) While the US troops draw down in Afghanistan, they turn to eating the MRE’s they have there for meals. I would say the officers up to the generals need to eat the MRE’s too.

Some vets told me, “Tough! Eat them and don’t complain!”

In fact, I have ordered MRE’s for years, see the links at #2-3 details. US troops in Afghanistan eating MRE’s: “The Drawdown Diet: Marines Steamed by Loss of Hot Meal at Afghanistan Base”.

I say better than eating Afghan food such as goat, and drinking tea as shuras, which expose US troops to parasites such as worms and diseases such as brucellosis, which is one of nine illnesses named “presumptive” for Iraq and Afghanistan vets, or being exposed to hepatitis from unsanitary food served to US troops by Afghans as shuras and “Key Leader Engagements”, etc. Link:

2.) Major Surplus & Survival: Meals Ready to Eat (MRE’s). These are “FRESH”, not outdated “surplus”, so don’t let the title fool you! This is a set of MRE’s, “The Basic”, three cases for $150.00:

3.) Another link to MRE’s from Major Surplus & Survival. Great for camping, emergencies (such as when the power is out, snowed in, etc.), and if you or your children plan on entering the military, great to order and get used to for when you sign up. Deluxe “Complete MRE”, one case ┬áMajor Surplus price $69.95 (regular price $99.95) Link:

While the war rages on in Afghanistan, a male Marine major faces sex charges in a court martial. He denies having sex with the midshipmen females. I don’t understand with the behavior of the women, why they were allowed to become military officers? Links from around the GWOT:

1.) Marine major denies having sex in court martial case. This story is one not to miss, very strange. I want to know why the women were made military officers with their behavior? Link:

The outrage that is the Afghanistan $candal continues unabated. COIN theory does not work in a war. This time the insider attack killed seven Afghan policemen at a dinner sneak attack. The only thing “positive” is that no Americans were killed this time. Links from around the GWOT:

Back to work for most Americans today, after a three day weekend. I was greeted when I got home, by a print issue of Marine Corps Times in the mail, with more story of corruption in a cover story, which I will link at #1, with the title, “Politics, privilege and promotion,” the story behind the promotion of Lt. Col. Conway, son of retired Marine Commandant Conway, who was promoted after being on hold for his involvement as an officer leading the Marines in the sniper unit who I believe were suffering from battle fatigue and combat stress and urinated on dead enemy fighters. I believe the snipers should be treated for combat stress and battle fatigue and not sent to court martial. Contact your elected officials on that, and read the story at link #1 and contact your elected officials on this “politics, privilege and promotion.” I believe Lt. Col. Conway should be removed from his command in Hawaii and sent to Sangin, Afghanistan, and that a Marine Court of Inquiry needs convened immediately, and he can testify by video from Sangin. 2.) Why is Bati Kot, Afghanistan not yet pacified? In 2007 Marine Special Ops were there and thrown out of Afghanistan at the request of the Army, which turned out to be a big mistake because the Marines at a subsequent Marine Court of Inquiry were found to have acted appropriately in a complex ambush. The Army officers who made this error, have yet to be punished after their error, but instead have been promoted. See the link at #1 for more details on another promotion controversy. Link:

Pray for American troops this Memorial Day weekend, especially this Sunday as in America we can attend the church of our choice as they defend our Constitutional Freedoms in Afghanistan and around the world.

Another Memorial Day weekend at war for US troops in Afghanistan, while in America, free citizens, can begin their summer with picnics, fishing, a cold beer and a three day weekend. No such luck for our troops in Afghanistan who face death and maiming in a hot dusty place many Marines call “the worst place in the world.”

So, while celebrating Memorial Day and remembering our fallen, please remember those who fell in the Ganjgal Ambush on 8 September 2009 in Afghanistan, for there has yet to be justice and no arrests have been made, neither of the enemy who killed them, or the American officers who were derelict in their duty as well as criminally negligent, it is my belief. Go to link #1 and read about it. Pray and demand from your elected officials justice for these three Marines and Navy Corpsman. It is also my opinion and belief that a Marine Court of Inquiry needs to be convened in this matter and hash this out: why Marines were left to die. Before Benghazi there was Ganjgal. Before the IRS scandal there was Ganjgal. Before the AP/Fox News being monitored by the Obama Administration, there was Ganjgal. There needs to be a Marine Court of Inquiry to secure justice and review the facts.
