18 days to go for the US Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, and as I wind down this blog’s daily updates, it gives me time to pause and reflect on the past years of US combat involvement, and before that actions going back even to the British wars in Afghanistan in the 1800’s, and the beheading of British officers in 1842, Conolly and Stoddart.

37 days to go for US troops in Afghanistan. The story at link #1 states the US troops are still leaving 12/31/14. I still don’t know if Congress will fund the extension of US troops there that President Obama signed last week. Links from around the GWOT:

There is supposed to be 87 days left for US troops in Afghanistan, only Pres. Obama on Sept. 30, 2014 signed us up for 10 more years and beyond. Will Congress fund it? Meanwhile, the British are leaving and closing Camp Bastion. Links from around the GWOT:
