I am still shocked and saddened at the death of Marine sniper Sgt. Rob Richards, found dead in his home Wednesday. May he rest in peace.

139 days to go for US troops in Afghanistan.

Why didn’t Gen. Amos, Marine Commandant worry about the safety and welfare of the Marine snipers and their families and get them treatment for combat stress and battle fatigue instead of wanting to “crush” them as other Marines are reported as testifying under oath that he wanted to do to them?

Now one of the scout snipers was found dead in his home. Sad, sad, sad.

Another Sunday at war while those of us in America can attend the church of our choice, our troops are still stuck in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Pray for their quick victory and return home immediately, not in 2014, but now, as soon as a quick victory is achieved. We should have done this for sure after Bin Laden was killed by President Obama. The speech that night should have said as a result, US troops were returning home from Afghanistan and bringing our money with them. Links from around the GWOT:

1.) An interesting take on the NY Times call for the US to leave Afghanistan now. 45% of US troops applying for disability benefits it says. Hundreds of thousands more have PTSD from combat stress. Link:

2.)  Now U.S. Marines install machine guns around Camp Bastion. The Marine base Camp Leatherneck is next to the British Camp Bastion. Link:

Another Sunday at war for US troops, and another end of month for Americans in Afghanistan, doing battle under rules of engagement so restricted, and a policy of nation building so skewed that it endangers life and limb of US troops.

Don’t take it from me, take it from a soldier there on the ground who questions our reason for being there and the tactics which have him and his men, our innocent American boys walking across mine fields. Oh, I might add, after this soldier wrote his Congressman, he died. He stepped on one of the land mines.

Pray for our troops and vets this Sunday, and pray for justice and new military leaders who have a culture of victory they can instill in the troops they lead. The new military motto of this new leadership, and all branches of our military should be: “VICTORY THROUGH STRENGTH”.

1.) U.S. Army sergeant questions mission, having U.S. troops walk through fields full of land mines. Read his story and contact your elected officials. Link:

http://www.theledger.com/article/20120930/NEWS/120939991/1410?Title=Dead-Soldier-s-Words-Have-Some-Questioning-War-in-Afghanistan

2.) Why hasn’t a Marine Court of Inquiry been convened yet over this ambush in September 2009 which resulted in the murders of three U.S. Marines and a Navy corpsmen? This question begs to be answered, among other things:

“HAS THE ENEMY WHO MURDERED OUR INNOCENT AMERICAN BOYS BEEN CAPTURED AND HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS?”

Contact your elected officials and spread the word with your family, friends, and/or media and ask them to convene an immediate Marine Court of Inquiry and find justice for these Marines who gave all.

Their country owes them that, and for their families to have an open hearing at the Marine Court of Inquiry to get answers. All of America needs to know what happened to these innocent American boys, U.S. Marines who gave their all. Now it is time for us to step forward as American citizens and ask our elected officials to convene a Marine Court of Inquiry so answers can be learned to the many questions surrounding the murder of these troops in Afghanistan in September 2009.

We last had a Marine Court of Inquiry in 2008, time to dust it of and start it up again, as it is high time this 2009 ambush went before the Marine Court of Inquiry.

We need an answer: “HAS THE ENEMY WHO MURDERED OUR INNOCENT AMERICAN BOYS BEEN CAPTURED AND HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS?” (among other things).

3.) The U.S. military just started up joint operations with the Afghan forces again, and already another ‘insider attack.’ God bless our American boys, and say a prayer for them as they suffer, along with their families, in this deadly situation. Contact your elected officials and demand better leadership for our American boys in battle. We need new officers who have a new strategy, and who can instill a culture of victory in the troops they lead. Link:

Another hot week for our troops in Afghanistan, may God bless them on this quest for victory. Freedom is not free. Pray for victory for American troops, and peace and safety for our nation after this victory is secured.

American troops should  not have their hands tied in battle, they need to win a war and come home, not be sitting ducks.

Sitting ducks I ran across in Indian Creek in Overland Park, Kansas. Sitting ducks may be safe in a creek in Kansas, but U.S. troops in Afghanistan must have rules of engagement which are not so restricted that it makes them sitting ducks for Taliban fighters in Afghanistan. America troops should be allowed to fight, or bring them home.

Freedom is not free, we remember as a fallen soldier returns home to Missiouri. This flag was flying in Wilmington, NC, but it's an American flag, and this soldier died so it waves freely all over our land. Rest in peace soldier, and God bless our family and friends at this difficult time.

3.) US Marine Reserve colonel dies days before court appearance, did he take to the grave his secrets? Marine Gen. Conway who is winding down as Marine Commandant and Marine Gen. Mattis who is taking over at CENTCOM after Army Gen. Petraeus was demoted from that same position to run the Afghanistan situation, are both mentioned. Link:

Another American Fourth of July in the can, and the war marches on in Afghanistan.

Only it is not a war, our restricted rules of engagement prevent that. So what is it?

The list of American deaths grows, more each day. More wounded also, which we never hear about. God bless the USA with a quick victory in Afghanistan. About all I can think to do is to call your representative, your senators, and the White House Comment line and tell them to either go for a quick victory in Afghanistan or get out.

Drop the restricted rules of engagement. If we are not there to win, bring the troops home. The U.S. has no money to nation-build anyway. And, the restricted rules of engagement are killing and maiming U.S. troops. CALL your elected officials about this, and also fax, e mail, and snail mail. Links:

2.) Eighteen military deaths, 3 in Iraq, 15 in Afghanistan. Of the troops murdered, I sent a fax to my representatives and Pres Obama and asked of the U.S. troops murdered, who has been arrested and held accountable for their deaths? Waiting for a reply, just faxed them today. Link:

3.) Another American hero dies in Afghanistan. This heroism should be the subject of stories in the mainstream media and all of America should hear about it and know what is going on in Afghanistan. God rest his soul, may this Marine RIP, he gave his all. He gave his life. Link:
