God bless American troops in Afghanistan. While they are there, what is the US Department of Homeland Security doing buying MRAPS for use on US soil? Links from around the GWOT:
1.) MRAPS for use in the USA? Why is Dept. of Homeland Security purchasing these? Link:
A week at war for US troops comes to an end and a new month begins. May US enlisted troops be blessed with new leaders who have a culture of victory they can instill in the troops they lead. God bless the USA. Links from around the GWOT:
1.) Draw down troops in Afghanistan, from USA Today:
2.) Disgrace and scandal in Afghanistan while the United States suffers from budget cuts, our US tax dollars are being spent in an out of control fashion in that country. The US needs to bring all troops home now including the Army Corps of Engineers and bring our money with them. The disgrace is that the US does not have money to have a contractor party in Afghanistan. Shut down this scandal and bring the US troops and money home NOW, not Dec. 31. 2014. Contact your elected officials if you want to stop this American taxpayer money pouring into Afghanistan. Link:
American troops end another month at war, and yet the GWOT continues, as many are tasked with being advisors to Afghan soldiers and police. It seems the US is switching to Africa for the news GWOT location. Google “Afghanistan” and you will get many stories describing the scandal going on in Afghanistan with contractors, fraud, Afghan forces involved in child rape and abuse, and more scandals. God bless American troops, may they be led by leaders of integrity who put victory first and make the welfare of US troops paramount.
God bless American troops in Afghanistan & God bless the USA. There is so much news about the various scandals in Afghanistan, so just Google “Afghanistan” and you can find many of the links for yourself. Our enlisted American troops fight on though, and we are blessed to have them. We just need to install leaders with integrity and a culture of victory to lead them to victory.
While parts of the USA await a blizzard, US troops still face danger and cold in Afghanistan. Pray for victory for American troops and that US leaders, both military and civilian, will focus on VICTORY THROUGH STRENGTH. The US no longer has the funds to carry out a long occupation and nation building. Win and bring the troops home long before the 31 December 2014 deadline for victory. Links from around the GWOT:
1.) American Marines in MARSOC (Special Operation Marines) describe their role in a Philippine rescue of Filipino special operators. Note the award given to the MARSOC Marine: What is this? Some defense contractor award? Read the story for details. Are the contractors moving to the Philippines to drum up business as the Afghanistan Scandal winds down? God bless American troops. Let’s get civilian and military officials in there who have integrity and who are not going to retire and work for a defense contractor. In these times of budget cuts and tight budgets, and the end of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan is it time to disband MARSOC like the Marine Raiders were disbanded at the end of WWII? It seems to me with the huge budget of the Army compared to the Marines and the Navy budget, the Navy SEALS and Army Rangers and Army Green Berets can handle the Special Operations work now that the wars are over. This would save money and much duplication, and with the Marine Corps shrinking, allow these MARSOC Marines to get back into the fleet and doing what Marines do: TRAIN TO WIN WARS, and when called to war: WIN THE WARS. Another weekend at war, and Afghanistan is still such an unsafe place, as seen in the link at #1 Americans are still being shot. May God keep this female Ohio National Guard member who was working in Afghanistan a contractor in his hands, as she struggles on life support after being shot.
