160 days to go for US troops in Afghanistan. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

In their remaining time there, may they not be exposed to toxic burn pits.

Links from around the GWOT:

1.) Toxic burn pits in Afghanistan: do a search on google.com or bing.com and search for “Marine Corps Times Burn pit story Afghanistan”. The Marine Corps Times has done a story on the burn pit situation in Afghanistan.

161 days to go for US troops in Afghanistan. And, while there, let’s hope they are not being exposed to burn pit fumes. Read the story at link #1 for complete details on how to read these stories. These burn pits were also spewing toxic fumes over Iraq as well when US troops were there. Links from around the GWOT:

1.) ¬†Go to bing.com or google.com and search “Burn pits Afghanistan”. Several stories will come up with recent stories about the problem of burn pits in Afghanistan.

Another work week begins for most Americans, but for US troops in Afghanistan, retrograde operations continue, as they pack up and close bases so the US can be out of there by 31 December 2014.

2.) Another excellent article by Diana West: a retrospective of US COIN actions, nation building, and other mistakes at the top in Iraq and Afghanistan, while US enlisted troops did everything they could, suffering terrible injuries and death, often due to restricted rules of engagement. Read the article for complete details and links to past stories:

3.) More land mines kill Afghans in Afghanistan:

3.) New trans incinerators never used in Afghanistan. Another scandal, this one endangering US troops as they continue to breathe in fumes from open burn pits. American troops in Iraq were expose to burn pit toxins. Why wasn’t this fixed by the time the Afghanistan surge started, so US troops would not again be exposed to burn pit fumes in yet another war? Who will be held accountable for the injuries US troops suffered from being exposed to open burn pits and related toxic fumes? Link:

Remember America’s troops as they continue retrograde operations in a dangerous Afghanistan to get the US material and equipment out of that country by 31 Dec. 2014.

Meanwhile, US veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan suffer lung problems, often from exposure to toxins from the burn pits.

More scandals come in it seems by the day in Afghanistan. God bless America’s enlisted troops who have to suffer from this risk averse leadership which is causing so many deaths and maimings due to the COIN theory of nation buildings. US troops are packing up now, may they stay safe as they do so, and get out of their long before the 31 Dec. 2014 deadline. Links from around the GWOT:

1.) Toxic trash burning threatens Marines in Afghanistan. (Marines in Iraq also suffered from these poisonous fumes.) Those officers and generals responsible for this toxic situation need to go to a Marine Court of Inquiry TODAY and held accountable and sent to Court Martial. Link:

2.) More waste at US base in Afghanistan, this time incinerators are not being used which could help US troops not be exposed to smoke and toxins from burn pits. Link:
