US Marines handed over their base, Camp Leatherneck, to the Afghans this week, and it was in the news they were all flying, at a time undisclosed to prevent any enemy attack on their flight out.

73 days to go for US troops in Afghanistan. President Obama signed some type of deal in September 2014 to keep some US troops in that country, despite the other deal for them to leave 12/31/14. It remains to be seen whether the US Congress will fund this extension.
