A week at war for US troops comes to an end and a new month begins. May US enlisted troops be blessed with new leaders who have a culture of victory they can instill in the troops they lead. God bless the USA. Links from around the GWOT:

1.)  Draw down troops in Afghanistan, from USA Today:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2013/02/28/obama-afghanistan-troops-state-of-the-union/1935547/

2.) Disgrace and scandal in Afghanistan while the United States suffers from budget cuts, our US tax dollars are being spent in an out of control fashion in that country. The US needs to bring all troops home now including the Army Corps of Engineers and bring our money with them. The disgrace is that the US does not have money to have a contractor party in Afghanistan. Shut down this scandal and bring the US troops and money home NOW, not Dec. 31. 2014. Contact your elected officials if you want to stop this American taxpayer money pouring into Afghanistan. Link:

It is Martin Luther King Day today, and many Americans have a paid day off, to relax, and shop, go to the movie, or reflect on race relations in the United States and attend ceremonies celebrating America’s diversity.  God bless our country, and God bless our troops who celebrate MLK Day in Afghanistan, security our freedom for all of us, all races, both sexes. Former general Stanley McChrystal has written a book, a memoir, and now is on TV shows such as Sean Hannity, which he was on last night. Read the story about him at link #1. I sent an e mail to Hannity but didn’t catch-all the show to see if he answered it. I want to know, and also wrote my Congressman, if McChrystal is profiting from the war and his failed COIN nation building strategy that saw US casualty rates shoot up as enlisted troops risked their lives under his dictate to go on tea drinking missions in many instances, and be put at undue risk by walking into villages? Is he donating ALL proceeds to wounded American troops, as Donald Rumsfeld donated his proceeds to charity? It is fine and dandy to write a book, but a losing war general with high casualties and a failed strategy should not be profiting from the book. Are his days spent at hospitals helping veterans who lost their legs, genitals, arms, and suffered brain damage and PTSD from the way he handled the war? Links from around the GWOT:

Another Sunday at war for US troops, and another end of month for Americans in Afghanistan, doing battle under rules of engagement so restricted, and a policy of nation building so skewed that it endangers life and limb of US troops.

Don’t take it from me, take it from a soldier there on the ground who questions our reason for being there and the tactics which have him and his men, our innocent American boys walking across mine fields. Oh, I might add, after this soldier wrote his Congressman, he died. He stepped on one of the land mines.

Pray for our troops and vets this Sunday, and pray for justice and new military leaders who have a culture of victory they can instill in the troops they lead. The new military motto of this new leadership, and all branches of our military should be: “VICTORY THROUGH STRENGTH”.

1.) U.S. Army sergeant questions mission, having U.S. troops walk through fields full of land mines. Read his story and contact your elected officials. Link:

http://www.theledger.com/article/20120930/NEWS/120939991/1410?Title=Dead-Soldier-s-Words-Have-Some-Questioning-War-in-Afghanistan

2.) Why hasn’t a Marine Court of Inquiry been convened yet over this ambush in September 2009 which resulted in the murders of three U.S. Marines and a Navy corpsmen? This question begs to be answered, among other things:

“HAS THE ENEMY WHO MURDERED OUR INNOCENT AMERICAN BOYS BEEN CAPTURED AND HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS?”

Contact your elected officials and spread the word with your family, friends, and/or media and ask them to convene an immediate Marine Court of Inquiry and find justice for these Marines who gave all.

Their country owes them that, and for their families to have an open hearing at the Marine Court of Inquiry to get answers. All of America needs to know what happened to these innocent American boys, U.S. Marines who gave their all. Now it is time for us to step forward as American citizens and ask our elected officials to convene a Marine Court of Inquiry so answers can be learned to the many questions surrounding the murder of these troops in Afghanistan in September 2009.

We last had a Marine Court of Inquiry in 2008, time to dust it of and start it up again, as it is high time this 2009 ambush went before the Marine Court of Inquiry.

We need an answer: “HAS THE ENEMY WHO MURDERED OUR INNOCENT AMERICAN BOYS BEEN CAPTURED AND HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS?” (among other things).

3.) The U.S. military just started up joint operations with the Afghan forces again, and already another ‘insider attack.’ God bless our American boys, and say a prayer for them as they suffer, along with their families, in this deadly situation. Contact your elected officials and demand better leadership for our American boys in battle. We need new officers who have a new strategy, and who can instill a culture of victory in the troops they lead. Link:

Back to work for may Americans today, while our troops in Afghanistan didn’t get a break. God bless them.

Links from around the GWOT:

1.) The Marines started a Special Ops unit called MARSOC. They have struggled to keep up with the huge budget and years of experience of the Army Rangers and Army Green Berets. This story states MARSOC Marines will be involved in drug issues, tracking drug runners, etc. Why isn’t the DEA, drug enforcement doing this as we already use our tax dollars to pay for the DEA? Why doesn’t the Marine Corps end this experiment and go back to their strengths of Recon, Scout Sniper, etc.? I don’t know. I am just asking. I love our Marine Raiders and just started reading another book about them, “Carlson’s Raid,”  Link:

Another Sunday at war for U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Pray for them, that they can secure victory soon and return home after winning the war. Pray for new military strategy and leadership with a culture of victory in which they can instill in American troops. Pray for our injured, and that there will be no more American deaths or injuries soon. God bless the USA. The US military has secured our freedom of religion, so we can go to the church of our choice today. God bless the US enlisted man. Links from around the GWOT:

1.) U.S. Army buried Islamic reasons for attacks and murders of US troops by Afghan forces. A thought provoking thought at “American Thinker”. Read this story and contact your elected officials who send our troops to war. Link:

Our religious freedom remains intact in America thanks to or troops protecting it for us at home and abroad. We can attend Christian services today, Sunday, our day of worship, and peacefully spend the rest of the day with our families. Or, if we so desire, we don’t have to attend church services. It is our decision in America. We can pray only five times a day at appointed times, or we can pray without ceasing throughout the day. It’s up to us. God bless the USA and God bless America. While U.S. troops are still in Afghanistan, another war front opens in Africa. Well, now it is said that 100 combat military advisors are being sent to Uganda by President Obama. Of course, the advisor role reminds me of something from my childhood: troops being sent to Vietnam as advisors. Anyway, the story is below you can read about it for yourself and draw your own conclusions. Links from around the GWOT:

I ask is it a scandal in Afghanistan, not to imply our ground troops are involved in a scandal, but because of the leaders that have them in the restricted rules of engagement environment they are in, and the scandal or the corruption all around them. God bless our ground troops and those supporting them. Links from around the GWOT:
