US troops continue on in Afghanistan while the Presidential inauguration went on Monday night, with balls, dancing, eating and drinking, all while they serve voluntarily to protect our country. God bless them.

Watching a DVD from Netflix called “CIA”, disk one and two. I am on disk 2 now, which starts out about the Phoenix program in the Vietnam War. So, thought I would read about it online. I don’t know if there are parallels to today’s war in Afghanistan. I have heard multiple times that what is going on now in Afghanistan is the “Vietnam Plan For Afghanistan” though.

1.) LInk to information about the Phoenix program noted above, from the US war in Vietnam. Link:

3.) General Allen cleared of wrong doing in e-mail scandal. I have a question: doesn’t a general in a war zone need to be leading troops and not e mailing a socialite woman in Florida? Link:

A fine fall day in America, crispness in the air, sunshine, blue skies, and red and yellow leaves falling off the trees. It’s autumn in America, but for our troops in Afghanistan they face more danger and deceit in a war that has no plan for victory, just a date in 2014 when the bleeding ends and our troops come home, and who knows, by then another war could be forming on another foreign shore, or in attacks at home in our land in America. God bless American troops, and say a prayer for all our injured from Iraq and Afghanistan actions. Pray for the families of the fallen. May our fallen RIP. Links from around the GWOT:

Another day at war, another day of treachery for boxed in US troops. God bless our enlisted troops sacrificing so much, their limbs, minds, and even their very lives.  May new leadership, with a new strategy that puts Americans first be brought in. Our troops deserve it. Please read the story at link #1 by Gold Star Father John Bernard whose son gave his life for us in Afghanistan & contact your elected officials.

1.) Gold Star Father John Bernard pens another excellent article in support of our troops. Read this story & contact your elected officials. Link:

The Afghanistan Scandal continues, for it is not a war. Today 6 brave and innocent American troops gave their lives when an Afghan policeman they were training murdered them. We need leaders with a culture of victory and we need to win this war quickly, get a complete and total surrender signed, and get out of there and take our money with us. This is an outrage that our troops were murdered this way. Contact your elected officials including President Obama, after reading the story at #1: our troops need our support.

Also in the news, Wikileaks and the Portland accused bomber make headlines today as the Global War on Terror Continues at home and abroad. Links from around the GWOT:

1.) Afghan police officer kills 6 U.S. troops. This is not a war we are fighting, this is a scandal – The Afghanistan Scandal. God bless our troops and may they be given leaders with a culture of victory so they can win this was quickly and come home. Our troops should not be murdered like this. Link:

The Thanksgiving holiday has passed and we head into another Christmas shopping season, while our troops face another holiday at war. God bless our troops and may they come home to victory parades soon.

1.) Another scathing article on the Taliban imposter, paid for by U.S. taxpayer dollars. Our (lame duck) Congress should hold hearings on this. They vote in the generals and officers, let’s have them demote whatever American officer or officers fell for this ruse. Let’s see exactly how much money was spent, both in cash payments to the impostor and how much money was spent flying him in to meetings from Pakistan to Afghanistan, what promises were made to him (was he offered U.S. citizenship, his family, etc.?) and where he is now. 3.) Islamic fashion show in Indonesia. Link and from the story:

In a nod to local mores, U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama donned a headscarf on her visit to Jakarta’s Istiqlal mosque earlier this month. But wearing the headscarf is not mandatory and regulations concerning clothing are fairly liberal save for Indonesia’s West Aceh district, which is the sole upholder of sharia — or Islamic — law.

6.) Marines again falsely being accused of killing civilians, just as they were in 2007 when an entire Marine MARSOC (Special Ops) Company was thrown out of Afghanistan based on false charges. It worked in 2007, so the Taliban are trying it again, falsely accusing Marines. Link:

7.) Deployed troops get 245,000 pounds of turkey for Thanksgiving:

http://www.marinecorpstimes.com/news/2010/11/marine-thanksgiving-turkey-troops-112510w/

8.) Marines resist dropping Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. The new Marine Commandant Amos also said he wants to put emphasis on stopping Marine behavior now which is ILLEGAL, IMMORAL, and INDECENT, which would include heterosexual behavior going on now, as fraternization and adultery are still punishable under the UCMJ. Let’s see if he puts a stop to this behavior going on now which is demoralizing to US troops who see it go on unpunished, and let’s see if he brings charges against any officers for adultery and fraternization. The Navy has already relieved several commanders for such behavior or “improper” relationships, and the Marines are a part of the Navy, so let’s see who is prosecuted in the Marine Corps for what Commandant Amos referred to as “ILLEGAL, IMMORAL and INDECENT” behavior of Marines. I support the Marines, but there must be a problem with heterosexual behavior that is illegal, immoral, and indecent for Commandant Amos to call it out like this, and if it is against the UCMJ like adultery and fraternization, he should prosecute and let us know what he is talking about. It must be a problem for him to so predominately mention it.  Link:

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2010/11/marine-lieutenant-from-camp-pendleton-killed-in-afghanistan.html

10) This story says U.S. intelligence officers not doing their job, don’t even know what the Taliban commanders look like! Let’s hope they are not distracted by engaging in what Commandant Amos calls, “illegal, immoral and indecent” behavior instead of doing their job! Could the lead Taliban commander be President Karzai?? He has said he wants to join them! Link:

More war news all around, going back to Ground Zero in NY City where there is a proposal being heatedly discussed to build a Victory Mosque in lower Manhattan. God bless US troops and may they secure victory soon so they can come home. Links from around the GWOT:

1.) Why Gates is overrated:

http://www.frumforum.com/why-gates-is-overrated

2.) Last U.S. combat troops leave Iraq. Yet, 50,000 troops designated “non combat” remain, but I believe they all have a rifle and could fight and engage in combat. As long as the US is bringing home troops, let’s bring them all home, and use the money here in the USA. Iraq has their oil money they can use, the US is spending money they don’t have building up our debt as it gets higher and higher. Link:

The mosque at Ground Zero is in the news al lot, I heard it discussed on Glenn Beck on the radio and on his TV show today.

In the meantime, US troops are endangered in Afghanistan. The headline screams out for our men:

“Afghans who are undisciplined endanger U.S. Marines in Marjah.”

See the link at #1.

1.) Afghans who are undisciplined endanger U.S. Marines in Marjah:

Marine Corps Eagle Globe and Anchor at Camp Lejeune, NC-At the top it reads: "Semper Fidelis"-often shortened to "Semper Fi"-meaning "Always Faithful". As a country let's contact our elected officials after reading this story and tell them our Marines are "Always Faithful" in battle in Afghanistan, and our politicians and Commander-in-Chief, and the generals and officers need to be "Always Faithful" to the men they lead. Endangering them like this doesn't see to be "Always Faithful" to me. Let's REALLY be ALWAYS FAITHFUL to our Marines in battle in Afghanistan

Another workweek ends for Americans but the fight goes on for troops in Afghanistan. That is Americans who have jobs, as the unemployment numbers came out, still hovering at 9.5% with what are reported as massive job losses.

The British troops are hard at work, as described in story #1. British Royal Marine saved by his body armour. In the meantime U.S Army General Petraeus issues orders to U.S. troops, and I have asked my representative and senators, as well as President Obama, Commander-in-Chief if they are illegal, for them to remove their ballistic glasses, often called “Oakleys” (a brand name) which are issued for their protection to keep shrapnel, debris, sunlight, and anything else harmful out of their eyes and preventing blindness. In addition to blindness, the shrapnel could travel into the brain causing brain damage. I asked them to clarify this order to remove protective gear which US taxpayers are paying for to protect our troops vision and lives, and let me know if it is an illegal order.

3.) Marine General Mattis confirmed by Senate to be head of CENTCOM and be Army General Petraeus’ boss. We will see how this all works out. A quick victory needs to be planned by these two, and our troops brought home. Link:

5.) U.S. represented at Hiroshima, first time in 65 years-Obama Administration sends U.S. Ambassador. Maybe somebody in the Obama Administration should ask China about how the Japanese slaughtered them in WWII, and go ask the Korea’s what the Japanese did to them in WWII, and ask the Bataan Death March survivors what the Japanese did to them in WWII, ask the US Marines held prisoner by the brutal Japanese when they served in China how they were treated. It was the Japanese who started this war with the attack on Pearl Harbor. Let’s get the Obama Administration up to speed before he goes over there to bow down as he has done and is photographed bowing down to various countries. Link:
