A week at war for US troops comes to an end and a new month begins. May US enlisted troops be blessed with new leaders who have a culture of victory they can instill in the troops they lead. God bless the USA. Links from around the GWOT:
1.) Draw down troops in Afghanistan, from USA Today:
2.) Disgrace and scandal in Afghanistan while the United States suffers from budget cuts, our US tax dollars are being spent in an out of control fashion in that country. The US needs to bring all troops home now including the Army Corps of Engineers and bring our money with them. The disgrace is that the US does not have money to have a contractor party in Afghanistan. Shut down this scandal and bring the US troops and money home NOW, not Dec. 31. 2014. Contact your elected officials if you want to stop this American taxpayer money pouring into Afghanistan. Link:
American troops end another month at war, and yet the GWOT continues, as many are tasked with being advisors to Afghan soldiers and police. It seems the US is switching to Africa for the news GWOT location. Google “Afghanistan” and you will get many stories describing the scandal going on in Afghanistan with contractors, fraud, Afghan forces involved in child rape and abuse, and more scandals. God bless American troops, may they be led by leaders of integrity who put victory first and make the welfare of US troops paramount.
President’s Day and many Americans are off work, including the President who is golfing in Florida with Tiger Woods. So, a good time for a story on President Obama, here is one about Benghazi. Links form around the GWOT:
1.) What was President Obama doing during the Benghazi attack? Diana West writes about the Leon Panetta and Gen. Martin Dempsey hearings in this must read article. Link:
Slowly the days tick down until the US leaves Afghanistan. The date set now to leave, is 31 Dec. 2014. Let’s hope and pray the packing up gets done quicker and the US troops can leave well before then. Links from around the GWOT, which includes places outside of Afghanistan, such as Benghazi. Link:

Another day in Afghanistan for US troops, while at home in America, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gives a performance before the House and Senate concerning the Benghazi attack on 9/11/12.

Another Sunday at war for US troops, pray for them in the dangerous Afghanistan war zone.

Another Thursday in Afghanistan, this time Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta made a surprise unannounced trip to that country to talk with President Hamid Karzai to discuss troop levels.
It is my hope new American military leadership will come in and lead our troops to a win in this war so they can come home in victory before Dec. 31, 2014.
Meanwhile, the GWOT rages, see this story at link #1 about the injured Americans in the Benghazi attack.
In another outrage, a Marine who fell in Fallujah in 2004 when falling on a grenade was again denied the Medal of Honor, this time by Leon Panetta.
This is an outrage. Americans should contact their elected officials and Secretary of Defense Panetta. This Marine fell on a grenade and was killed, and he should be awarded the Medal of Honor I believe.
The Marine Corps itself nominated him for the Medal of Honor. Rafael Peralta should have the Medal of Honor awarded.
Congressman Duncan Hunter was on FOX at 12:15pm in a long segment. He said President Bush and his Secretary of Defenses did not award one Medal of Honor to a living recipient.
I personally think President Obama should override this. Contact the Commander-in-Chief.
Award this Medal of Honor! It wasn’t until President Obama came into office that a Medal of Honor was awarded to a living recipient, now several have been awarded under Obama.
The Navy and the Marine Corps recommended the Medal of Honor. Marines on the scene gave testament to the valor of Peralta who gave his life for our country.
1.) Americans injured in Benghazi attack not available to talk to American elected officials:
2.) Fallen Marine Peralta denied Medal of Honor again, this time by Sec. of Defense Panetta. As Commander-in-Chief, President Obama should override this and award the posthumous Medal of Honor to Peralta’s family.
