Another week at war for American troops in Afghanistan. Pray for them and pray for our country. God bless the USA. Tonight there will be presidential debate on the subject of foreign policy. The president keeps saying he ‘ended’ the wars in Iraq and is ending the war in Afghanistan, but it does not say the Americans won the war. Where is the IRAQ VICTORY MEDAL for U.S. troops. I have written President Obama and my elected officials, that there should be an IRAQ VICTORY MEDAL with   THROUGH STRENGTH for all Americans who served honorably there.

The new military goal and motto should be: VICTORY THROUGH STRENGTH.

Another holiday season past us, another new year dawning. For U.S. troops in Afghanistan, it’s another day, another year at war. God bless American troops and may they secure victory soon and return home. Links from around the GWOT:

1.) Marine General Mattis, head of Central Command offers guidelines on operations on Pakistan border. Again, the story refers to Pakistan’s lawless border area. If the area is “lawless” then it is not under the control of Pakistan. Why is it “lawless”? Link:

2.) No welcome home parade planned for US troops this story says. I again wrote my elected officials and Pres. Obama and asked for not only a parade for Iraq war vets who served honorably, but also an IRAQ VICTORY MEDAL with motto: VICTORY THROUGH STRENGTH:

The countdown to Christmas begins for Americans. Shopping, eating, spending, and going about in all the hustle and bustle that is the commercial Christmas season in America, while our troops in Afghanistan secure our freedom, warmed by their camaradie and dedication to our country, the silent warriors, defending our freedoms and securing our Constitutional rights. May God bless them and God bless the USA. Links from around the GWOT:

1.)  While operations in Afghanistan continue for American troops, the long war in Iraq comes to an end of its campaign, first the end of Operation Iraqi Freedom and then the end of Operation New Dawn. The only remaining U.S. troops it has been reported in Marine Corps Times and other media outlets, are the approximately 50 Marine Security Guards at the US Embassy. There are reports that 16,000 Americans will remain in Iraq though, part of a contract security detail outside the Embassy Walls to escort and protect diplomatic staff, and to provide security to the State Department staff. At least, that is how I am reading it. Link to a story here about the end of US military operations in Iraq. I am asking my elected oficials and President Obama to authorize an IRAQ VICTORY MEDAL for those who served honorably there, with the motto: VICTORY THROUGH STRENGTH. Link:

2.) 3,170 veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan era living in a six country area around Kansas City being paid earned VA disability payments. I have been contacting my elected officials and presidents for some time now, stating that the injury rate is unsustainable and leaders of our troops in war need to be made aware that getting our troops injured like this is not acceptable and required new tactics. God bless our troops, especially say a prayer for our injured. Link:

The workweek comes to an end, with out troops still at war in Afghanistan. Pray for our troops, and for Americans to prevail. Pray for Americans wounded in battle and otherwise in these wars. Links from around the GWOT:

The deaths continue in Afghanistan for American troops. May they rest in peace and their survivors find comfort. The story at link #1 concerns a Marine Lance Corporal who was shot in the head in Afghanistan I read in another article, and was flown to Germany for care. His family made it there to see him before he passed on. RIP Marine. Links from around the GWOT:

3.)  Rebuttal at Canada Free Press for Sunday article in the Washington Post which I thought when I read it yesterday, sullied the service of U.S. troops in Iraq. This article explains it:

The war goes on in Afghanistan, while America’s involvement in Iraq comes to an end soon, at the end of December 2011. There is an end date for the Afghanistan War in 2014.

While U.S. troops are still in Afghanistan, our troops in Iraq are leaving that country per an agreement made by George W. Bush before he left office. God bless our troops. A true statement about the failure of nation building in Afghanistan needs to be dealt with immediately. The U.S. troops who served honorably in Iraq need to be awarded an IRAQ VICTORY MEDAL with the motto on the flip side: VICTORY THROUGH STRENGTH. Links from around the GWOT:

1.) Meanwhile back in Iraq….all U.S. troops will leave that country by 12-31-11. President Obama made the announcement today. Link:

Another month at war for U.S. troops. Victory can’t come too soon. Meanwhile in Iraq, the campaign called Operation Iraqi Freedom ends and Operation New Dawn begins its campaign. I don’t know if it should be called Operation New Dawn or Operation Sunset.

God bless U.S. troops and may they have a victory soon in Afghanistan as they did in Iraq. I was disappointed in President Obama’s speech last night in that he did not award the IRAQ VICTORY MEDAL. I hope he issues it soon, those who want to see it issued soon should contact him and their other elected officials and get the IRAQ VICTORY MEDAL awarded to American troops.

President Obama gives a speech, and I hope awards the IRAQ VICTORY MEDAL to all American troops who served honorably there. What a morale booster that would be as they head back to war in Afghanistan.

In the meantime, more US troops died in Afghanistan today, the 3 day total is mounting, close to 20 now at last count.

1.) One of the latest American deaths in Afghanistan, member of CT National Guard, may he RIP:

God bless our U.S. Marines; two highly decorated Marines fell in Afghanistan, two of many American deaths there in the last few days.

Another day of worship for Christians, another day of war for U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

Church in Wilmington, North Carolina-representative of American churches that will be filled today with worshipers. Our troops fight, bleed, and die for our freedoms, may God bless them.

With the end of Operation Iraqi Freedom on August 31, 2010, I have contacted Pres. Obama and my elected officials and asked that those who served honorably in that Campaign receive the IRAQ VICTORY MEDAL. Let’s see if on August 31, when Pres. Obama gives his Iraq speech, he awards the medal for victory there.
