Afghanistan Today, a GWOT Hotspot (the Afghanistan Scandal?) Wed. 12/31/14 (this is it, the Afghanistan War combat operations over for US troops)

Today is the end of the road for US combat operations in Afghanistan? The Final day scheduled for combat operations for American troops is today. 24 hours. One day left, and as it winds down, zero hours left for US combat operations in Afghanistan. NATO ceased operations in Afghanistan too. So, this is it. The war is over. I won’t be updating this blog daily anymore, but will post on occasion.

God bless American troops who served in Afghanistan. RIP fallen Americans.

2 days to go for US troops in Afghanistan. I consider today and tomorrow, thus the #2. But, even though it was set in stone so to speak for all US troops to be out of Afghanistan by 12/31/14, in fact, this past weekend Operation Enduring Freedom was ended a few days early. The ISAF, NATO and US combat mission and there was a ceremony ending the war in Afghanistan. After years of updating this blog nearly every day, I too will suspend daily updates with the end of US involvement in this war. I will update on occasion if US generals are he,d responsible, or US politicians, for the failed COIN (nation building) strategy which came at such high cost for US taxpayers and came at the ultimate cost for US troops who fell in Afghanistan. May God bless and continue to heal American troops still suffering from their combat injuries, line of duty injuries, traumatic brain injury and those suffering from various war related mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, and/or post traumatic stress disorder.
