Today’s the 70th Anniversary celebration for the invasion of Normandy by US troops in WWII. or D-Day, and with it American victory in WWII over Germany and Japan.

Meanwhile, for US troops in Afghanistan there’s 208 days left until they leave 31 December 2014. In the meantime, the US Commander-in-Chief has released enemy Taliban commanders from the Gitmo prison in Cuba, and chances are they will return to the battlefield.  As it is, it’s a morale boost for the enemy fighters to have their commanders back.
