God bless our troops still serving in Afghanistan as many in America have the day off and can hit the links, cast a line in a lake, take a spin on a motorcycle, or do many other leisure activities or even vacation as I saw on TV, presidential candidate Mitt Romney out on a boat or personal watercraft. Pray for our injured, and pray for our troops around the world. Links from around the GWOT:

.)  Once upon a time, there was a war in Iraq with American troops facing danger each day. Please read this story, an excellent one by Diana West, about Army 1st Lt. Michael Behenna who defended himself in a war zone and now sits behind bars in the brig at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. Contact your elected officials if you so desire, and/or the President for a pardon for this young warrior. Link:

.) More on the Michael Behenna case:

.) Before Afghanistan, there was a battleground, now a part of distant history in the minds of most Americans. But, one warrior sits in Ft. Leavenworth brig for defending himself in a war zone. Perhaps contacting your elected officials will make them aware of his plight. Perhaps even contacting President Obama for a pardon might be a worthwhile thing for this warrior. In the meantime, please pray for this soldier. Link:

.) US troops score win against IED’s in Afghanistan. I can hardly believe this headline. I hope it is true. Our enlisted troops on the ground are paying the price in limb, blood, and life. Link:
