Afghanistan Today-The GWOT Hotspot-1/24/10-Sun.
President Obama said he doesn’t want Haiti to think the US is taking over. I watched many videos of US troops providing support and belive this is an insult to the U.S. military. Watch the story at #1 and the videos of our Marines and troops delivering supplies and food to Haiti. These troops, many, such as the 22nd MEU just got back from a deployment, deserve an apology and thanks for helping like this. These videos make me proud to be an American. The comment from the president to me is insulting to our troops.
And, I want President Obama to win the war in Afghanistan and to have total victory and unconditional surrender of the enemy. I am all for President Obama to be a successful Commander-in-Chief and achieve total victory in Afghanistan.

Our troops are delivering food and water, taking care of sick children, and many such as the 22nd MEU are just back from a 7 month deployment and are send out again. 2.) Please watch these videos in light of story at #1 and President Obama’s comments, and I believe that after watching them, you will see the Marines and troops are busy helping Haitians, I don’t see time to “convince” them they come in peace, they are doing this with their actions. Also, who is the U.S. supposed to be taking over from and why? Why was this comment made? Our troops need PRAISE!!!

If the US troops are not wanted, then the Haitian government has a responsibility to not allow them there. Also, wasn’t it Obama who ordered $100 million sent to Haiti? 4.) All the while..US Marines and soldiers face death in Afghanitan, Gen. McChrystal claims success means protecting Afghan civilians. Well, let’s turn it to the Afghans, tell them we are leaving and taking our money with us, and proclaim “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED”.

Afghanistan Today-The GWOT Hotspot-Sat. 1-16-10
The war in Afghanistan, while a hotspot in the Global War on Terrorism, the GWOT, is second fiddle to the earthquake crisis in Haiti, where over 2,000 Marines are being rushed, along with Navy sailors and Army troops to provide humanitarian relief.

1.) Mother of imprisoned U.S. soldier Michael Behenna was on the Michael Savage show yesterday. The U.S. is releasing enemy combatants in Afghanistan and Iraq back into their ‘villages’ and I believe I read in Afghanistan the village elder swears that this is a former terrorist who will not do it again. I suggest a similar program for our troops now in prison at Leavenworth, Kansas for actions in a war. The Afghanistan war goes on, but in the meantime, the Marines will be sent to Haiti as well. God bless the U.S. Marines and our troops around the world.
The point of posting Haiti stories here? I just think because it shows there are other situations which happen and need U.S. military help besides Afghanistan. Should the USA get bogged down in land locked Afghanistan? With the reports of Taliban-led anti-American riots and crowds shooting and throwing rocks at U.S. troops in Afghanistan, maybe they don’t want us there and we should focus on other countries? I don’t know, just an idea.
