If you enjoyed a nice church service today, reading the Sunday paper, or just sitting back, relaxing, and watching football, please say a prayer for the safety of the Marines of 2/7 and other Marines in Afghanistan this day fighting dangerous terrorists, so we can enjoy our freedoms we take for granted. There were two recent deaths of Marines in Afghanistan, Lcpl Sim and Cpl. Robles: please say a prayer for their families. Take a moment to reflect on their supreme sacrifice to the country we love.

Links to various stories below, with a few stories from Iraq thrown in. Please pray for all of our Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting it out with the Taliban who want to destroy us. Write to your representatives and tell them to WIN the war in Afghanistan and to remove the restricted rules of engagement which are getting our troops killed. Also tell them to stop the “Victory Through Apology” campaign because it will not result in a win for the USA. Sec. of Defense Gates recently went to Afghanistan and ordered commanders to give apologies and money to Afghans quicker if they say they were injured or had a relative killed, with no proof, even before our troops are investigated. This is a disservice to our brave Marines fighting the enemy under rules of engagement which will get them killed. Also tell your representatives the recent order for commanders to retreat or withdraw from a battle, rather than call in air strikes, is a recipe for defeat. The air strikes are needed to kill the enemy and for the USA to win the war and bring our troops home alive. God bless the Marines serving in Afghanistan. May our leaders allow them to fight and win and drop the restricted rules of engagement, and continue on with air strikes.
